U12 Boys: Mullingar Shamrocks v Shandonagh:

We played Shandonagh in the rearranged fixture in Shandonagh last Saturday morning the 18th of May. An incredible 32 players turned up to play and we thank Shandonagh for ensuring that all players that turned up played full games. It was great to see a lot of players making their welcome return to the team and we hope that they keep coming down for the rest of the season. The games were played in a very sporting manner with both games were very tight. A notable feature of the games was the great points scored by both sides from play. When the scores were totted up Shandonagh prevailed by a couple of points. We look forward to playing Shandonagh again later on in the year. We would like to thank all the boys for turning out and all the parents for ensuring that they were at the venue when the game was rescheduled at very short notice.

Training continues on Saturday mornings at 10.30am in Springfield.

First Aid Course:

The club is running a First Aid Course for all coaches/mentors at every grade. The course will be held over two evenings, Wednesday 29th May and Wednesday 5th June, 7-10pm. We would encourage as many coaches/mentors to attend as possible as it is very important to have trained first aiders at training sessions and games. Please contact Pat Collins or Sean Hynes if you are interest in taking part.

Cycle to the City:

Not long now to one of the clubs main fundraising events of the year, the Cycle to the City (and back) Sunday June 2^nd. Please check out the club webpage for all important detail regarding the cycle www.mullingarshamrocks.com . Anyone who hasn’t signed up for this year’s challenge please do so as soon as possible. The route is Mullingar to Dublin and back to Mullingar, so approx. 150Km in total. Cyclists are free to join us in Dublin, or on the way back at Mother Hubbards or Mary Lynch's pub. Everyone welcome to take part, including non members. Anyone wishing to sign up please contact Adrian Keaveney at 087-2588819.

Cumann na mBunscol:

We wish all our club members and indeed all those competing in this week’s Cumann na mBunscol finals the very best of luck.

Bingo:

Bingo takes place every Thursday night at 8.30pm at Springfield.
